SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
What Is SDG 10?
SDG 10 focuses on reducing inequalities within and among countries. It recognizes that equality is essential for building peaceful, fair, and prosperous societies.
Core Mission
The goal aims to:
6 Reduce income inequality
- Promote social, economic, and political inclusion
- Ensure equal opportunities
- Eliminate discriminatory laws, policies, and practices
- Improve representation of marginalized groups
- Facilitate safe migration and mobility
- Strengthen international cooperation for financial and social reforms
Why SDG 10 Matters ? Why we chose it
While all SDGs are important, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) is particularly urgent in Tunisia due to deep regional, social, and economic disparities that slow down progress on every other goal.
- Regional Inequality Is One of Tunisia’s Biggest Challenges
- Interior and rural areas such as Kasserine, Gafsa, Kef, Siliana, and Jendouba suffer from:
- Limited job opportunities
- Poor infrastructure
- Low access to healthcare and education
- Weak connectivity and digital exclusion 3.Inequality Fuels Poverty and Unemployment 4.Reducing inequality unlocks progress across multiple other SDGs:
| Impact Area | Linked SDGs |
|---|---|
| Access to education | SDG 4 |
| Employment & growth | SDG 8 |
| Poverty reduction | SDG 1 |
| Gender equality | SDG 5 |
